A small team that was set up 5 years ago to work on NetScaler's SSL VPN feature is today large enough to work on all legacy and future Citrix Access Gateway (CAG) products. Citrix Access Gateway is one of the best remote access solutions in the market.
The Access Gateway Enterprise Edition (both Gateway and Client on multiple platforms like 64 bit windows, Mac etc.,) is primarily managed out of India, and is critical to Citrix’s business strategy. We are completely aligned with Citrix’s plans for new products and initiatives, on all platforms. Working on Access Gateway means understanding all Citrix technologies (Citrix Receiver, Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, Licensing, NetScaler) and multiple platforms like Windows, Mac, NetScaler, Linux, FreeBSD. This is a unique value proposition.
Our team participates in all major releases, and is also involved with all upcoming new generation Access Gateway releases. The India centre has become one of the hubs of technological innovation, and our responsibilities have extended beyond engineering, into areas like Product Management and Escalation/Support.

The teams across India and the US operate seamlessly to solve a problem. Interestingly, any change in strategy impacts our work, which means that we are necessarily adaptable and scalable enough to map to changes in vision. The Access Gateway team is aligned with the company’s overall vision, while steadily moving towards more ownership.
